This week has been just as fun as the first week in terms of activities to do. On Monday, my friends and I decided to head to a cricket game, which was my first time ever watching a cricket game. For a good portion of the game, I had no idea what the rules were and how the game was scored, but I was enjoying the atmosphere the stadium gave for every ball that went out. However, I believed that we were still the loudest as we held the American stereotype of being the loudest.

Friday night, we learned that there is a night market inside of Chinatown. Some of my friends and I were hungry so we decided to head there after class to see what the experience was like. The atmosphere was amazing; Many of the night stands sold authentic Chinese and Japanese meals and ornaments for relatively cheap prices. I may have spent a little too much money than but I believed that it was worth it for the experience.

Sunday afternoon, I experienced Boat Day where we get to go on a large boat for a couple of hours the day before Australia Day, which is similar to their Independence Day or Columbus Day. We cruised around the coast of Australia and saw many of the edges of their big cities and islands nearby. It was wonderful to share this experience with other Bucknellians and other GAV students as they were the ones to tell us about this opportunity. I believed that I achieved my goal of trying to gain authentic experiences here for Week 2.
