Roll Racing Sydney!

This Friday, Owen and I made it out to Eastern Creek Raceway where we attended Roll Racing Australia’s first roll racing event of the year. As avid car enthusiasts from the United States we were egar to experience the highly regarded car culture down under. Unbeknownst to most, car culture within Australia may even run deeper than in America. From the Bush to Sydney, from burnouts to supercars, Australia has one of the most diverse and interesting car cultures in the world. American influence is not the only thing which has shaped Aussie car culture, but a strong Japanese influence has created a unique and diverse community in Australia.

During our experience at Roll Racing Australia we met car enthusists of all backgrounds. Not only are the cars in Australia diverse, but so are the individuals in the Aussie car scene. Me and Owen were able to truly see how car culture within Australia has been able to bring together all different types of people. From hobbiests, to professionals, all walks of life are able to participate and enjoy car culture within Australia.

Although Owen and I have experienced a good chunk of Australian cart culture, we aren’t finished. We both plan on attending a “supercar” race, a nascar equivalent event. We also would be lucky to attend a famous burnout competition which can only been seen in Australia. Overall we are super excited to be able to experience the rich car culture within Australia. Although typically hidden, we beleive that car culture is a important and interesting aspect of every culture.
