Spring Break is Finally Here! But before getting into that, here’s a quick recap of my last week in Sydney!
For the past week, I’ve been trying to check off the final things on my Sydney bucket list. On Tuesday, I finally got the massage I had been waiting seven weeks for. It was long overdue, but so worth it. The night ended with Maddie and I having dinner at Kafe Kooks, a set menu filled with amazing Indian dishes. I can’t believe it took me this long to find this restaurant because it was absolutely incredible!
On Thursday, class was canceled, so the girls and I made one last visit to our favorite brunch spot, Blackwood, for a final hoorah. After that, we spent the rest of the day soaking up the sun at Bondi Beach. It was really nice to spend one of our last days at Bondi beach after it was the first beach we came to.

Friday morning, I finally found the motivation to get out of bed early and watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, it was a bit cloudy, but still beautiful. Afterward, I stopped by Harry’s for my usual matcha, and to my surprise, there was a pop-up sponsored by a sunscreen company giving out free mango matcha! That made the 5:30 AM wake-up call totally worth it. The rest of my Friday night was spent packing, which was an absolute nightmare as I hate packing.

Saturday was a full-on travel day. We all got up early to head to the airport for our flight to Cairns! The flight itself, and the people around me, were interesting to say the least, but at least I had Ariana next to me for support. My first impression of Cairns? So. Hot. And. Humid. If this is anything like Singapore, I’m going to need all the luck (and A/C) I can get. I’m liking Cairns so far, but I already miss Sydney.

The one thing that took my mind off of missing Sydney was snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef! I love the ocean, so being able to see everything up close was unreal. At one point, a shark swam just a foot away from me! I also saw so many cool fish, corals, and giant clams. It was definitely one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had.
Today, the exhaustion from snorkeling definitely caught up with me, but exploring different waterfalls and swimming holes was worth it. The freshwater was a nice change of pace, and the spots we visited were absolutely stunning.

So far, spring break has been off to an incredible start and I’m excited to enjoy everything it has to offer before starting work next week.
