I spent last week up until Saturday in Cairns doing various activities.
On Tuesday, we went to a crocodile farm where we got to see crocodiles in a man made habitat for them and see how they would operate in the wild. We also saw other animals and exhibits such as the snake exhibit and the kangaroo/wallaby area. But the crocodiles were one of the few things left in Australia I needed to see before I left.

On Wednesday, we went to a separate island to travel around and explore. I learned that I still get sea sick but only when I have fun the day before. When we got to the island, while still being nauseous, I climbed to the top of a mountain with my friends. I had not eaten breakfast either so I had no energy to recover with, but I still made it to the top in 40 or so minutes. After taking pictures at the top and climbing back down, I saw a sea turtle with Estrella and Mae and went snorkeling with them afterwards. Overall, the day was an overall success.

Thursday was the one of the 2 free days GAV gave us to do whatever we wanted, so most of the guys and I decided to book the day to go fishing in the Great Barrier Reef. Surprisingly, I did not get seasick like the other days I went out to the sea. Unsurprisingly, I did not catch many fish and I especially did catch anything to eat, so I starved for dinner.

Friday was the laziest day I have had since coming to Australia and I enjoyed it very much. I was roommates with Dom and Tomy and since Dom was not coming to Singapore with us, this was going to be the last day we were gonna see Dom til next semester, so we decided to stay the day in our room eating and watching Avatar the Last Airbender. I spoke to some of the other Bucknell girls and even got some book reccomendations from Stella. She let me borrow “The Silent Patient” for the plane ride the next day.
After saying our goodbyes to Dom and most of the other GAV members, we set out flight to Papa New Guinea and Singapore. I lost half my bank account paying for the extra luggage I brought but I think I will survive. I read the book Stella gave me on the 6 hour plane ride to SIngapore and now I want more reccommnedations from her; I might even join her little book club with the other girls on the trip for fun.
Singapore is a beautiful country; it cannot be overstated. Even the airport was extravagant. I have not done much yet in Singapore besides walk around and go to our hotel, but I can already tell that this will be entirely different experience compared to Australia and especially America. It is very hard to walk around here, but there is so many cheap food spots that its ridiculous. Hopefully I get to experience more while I am here.
