Week 10: Working in Accounting in Singapore

This week has been very interesting as it represents my first full week in Singapore and of my new internship here.

I plan on graduating as an accountant, and I am currently on track to become an auditor for a firm after graduation, so I wanted to get a headstart on figuring out what auditing was and what auditor do for work. I landed an internship at CLA Global TS, an accounting firm that helps businesses externally with their goals and problems. I got the job their as an external auditor, helping clients with managing their documents and getting them ready for inspection.

The people at the company are friendly and its nice talking and learning from them as an accountant. I am currently working at a client’s office and reviewing their documents like an external auditor would.

Saturday I went on a walking tour around the main area we are in to see all of the different culture spots in Singapore. Knowing the way Singapore’s population is split up, its cool seeing how all these cultures intertwine with each other.

(Also Deborah did my hair again :))
