Week 12 was a great week. This week we enjoyed more of Singapore’s sights and experiences.
We went to the Marina Bay Sands hotel to a famous rooftop bar. The place we went to is a bar/club called Ce La Vi, and happens to be featured in the last scene of Crazy Rich Asians. The bar itself was incredible with a great dance floor and fantastic views. The building, Marina Bay Sands, consists of three towers connected by a huge roof which is styled after a boat. Also on this “boat” is a huge infinity pool which is open to the public for a small fee. We did not go to the pool but we did go to the bar, pay for some very expensive drinks, and enjoy the views. Maybe next time we will also enjoy the expensive pool as well.
I also went to the European Tour sponsored by my office. My company sent me on a day trip to the European Tour to watch some good golf and find potential clients. While the course was fantastic and the golf was very impressive, it poured rain and there were not many people around, which made the networking element difficult. Additionally getting caught in the pouring rain was not a highly enjoyable experience. Overall though i really enjoyed the day, especially considering the day was free. Laguna Nationality is one of the most impressive courses I have ever seen, and it was really cool that it was sponsored by Porsche.
Getting out to the far east side of Singapore without going to the airport was also a great experience as it is a different part of the city as it is more rural.
Overall it was a great weekend and i can’t wait for more great experiences, and hopefully to travel a little bit in the coming weeks.
