Week 11: Work and Cats

This week was not as eventful as I wanted it to be as work has taken up a good portion of my time.

SInce being here, I wanted to get used to working a regular corporate job and valuing the time I had leftover in the day. I usually get off work at around 5:30 to 6pm and it takes me around a half an hour to get back to the hotel, so most of my day is spent in the office. It usually takes me an hour to eat, cook and cleanup so now I am left very little time left to enjoy myself.

This has left me to realize that I have valued the time I have in the past, and I usually just procrastinated the day away until I had to go to sleep, in which I would repeat the day over again until the weekend. But now, I am actually trying to do stuff to enjoy the rest of the day that I have left. I have went to the pool near the hotel and just relaxed in the water. This is an opportunity that is not just available at all times for back in the US so I use it as much as possible. I have gone to the gym and worked out like usual, and have even gone on some late night runs (even with this humidity 🙁 ).

On Tuesday I went to a cat cafe with Estrella, Bianca, and Sabrina (GAV student). I did not really know what I was going to get myself into as I had never been to one before but that was one of the best $20 dollars I have ever spent. We paid for 2 hours of playing with some kittens and we used it well. It made me realize that getting a cat is definitely happening after graduation.
