I keep forgetting how cheap it is to get food from restaurants rather than cooking, which I am finding very ironic. In America, it is more expensive to order food or to eat at restaurants vs. making your own food, but I always seemed to order food more when I am at Bucknell or even at home. Yet since I have been here, I have been cooking more and more compared to when I am in America. Hopefully, I keep this habit when I go back but I need to keep trying these unique dishes for while I am still here.
With some of the Bucknell girls (Stella, Maddie, and Alexa) and Colin, we decided to go to a KBBQ restaurant Friday night. While it was a little expensive, the food was amazing, and it was nice to hear Stella explain some of the dishes and cultural experiences surrounding KBBQ. I embraced this with 2 Soju bottles, and 2 more at the end of the night when we decided to watch a show called Bridgerton. I still have no idea what it was about but it seems like a good show to watch (as long as you don’t start it in Season 3 ep 7).
During the KBBQ night, Colin and I got the bright idea to go to the slingshot in Clarke Quay. I have always wanted to go on it at Six Flags but I never seemed to have the chance for it. The slingshot was something else; I of course was not scared at all at being launched hundreds of feet into the air and slamming back down but it was definitely an experience to remember. We also ran into a newly married couple at a different ride who spent their honeymoon traveling Southeast Asia.
