I’ve been out and about exploring this wonderful city that it doesn’t feel like I’ve only been here a few days. Every day a new adventure and a new character unlocked. My suitemates being from different schools has definitely helped to meet many new people. Our first day, we got a small tour of Australia and our route to class which seemed helpful for a couple of days until the strike occurred. I couldn’t complain because it opened me to a scenic bus ride to school which I’ve really enjoyed.
A nice surprise that I found in Australia is the vibrant culture that seeps out of it’s building walls. All the walls have artwork painted or created that describe Australia’s culture which is pretty interesting to see. In the US., I’m used to see a mural on one or two buildings but here I’ve seen artworks that have been implemented into the structure of the building.
Overall, I’ve had fun exploring this beautiful country that is Australia. Every day I plan to find a new piece of art to add to my collection and hope to bunch them together at the end to make a beautiful collage. I’m excited to see what the rest of my time in Australia will hold.
