Friends

I think this might have been the shortest two weeks of my entire life. It feels like we just arrived and we’ve been here forever all at the same time. Although I knew I would love Australia because I got to skip winter I never would have imagined how happy I truly would be. I can attribute this in great part to the friends I have with me and the new friends I have made.

Although I already knew Sienna before coming to Australia I could never have imagined getting so close so quickly. Sienna has a smile that will light up the room. She is one of the funniest most genuinle people I have ever met. Immediately getting here we explored the Sydney and planned out just about every single day together. She reminds me so much of my younger sister who is alaways ready for whatever adventure the day will bring and no matter what is going on she will never fail to put a smile on someones face making their day brighter. I could not have dreamed of a better sleepover partner for the next two months.
Alexa is our mom in the most amazing way possible. She is the glue that holds us together- always offering advice, a helping hand, or a story to keep us entertain. She is simply an incredible human being who inspires me to be the best verision of myself everyday. She never judges people and always goes out of her way to maek sure that everyone is included. I feel truly lucky to have been able to meet somoene like her in my life. I hope i can persuade her to help me make my own girl dinner soon.
Lauren and I although being in the same sorority and working on class projects together were never that close at bucknell and although I rarely like to look back with regrets one of my biggest is not becoming closer sooner. She is my favorite person to be in company in silence with. Even if its just my quick gym run in the morning i am running back so i dont get “seperation anxiety” from her. From exploring Sydney on our days off by going to Wylie baths, going on walks, grabbing coffee or smoothies, and even just running to the grocerie store I am insanley greatful to have soemone who makes me feel like I will never truly be alone.
Although Elizabeth is not in our management program I have known her since elementary school. For years she has been a part of my life I could not live without and someone who has kept me going. Knowing she was coming to Australia was one of the most comforting factors about goign across the world. From the day we arrived she had already been here for two weeks so she was able to show me around and make me feel right at home. I cannot wait to look back in 40 years sitting on a porch together laughing about all the things we experienced in australia. “again…..again…again…again”
Not to lump Jonah in with the girls but it seems unfitting to leave him out of this blog post. Me and jonah were friends before Bucknell but the kind of friends that might have the occassional chit chat, say hi in passing, or talk about how excited we were to go abroad. Jonah is just a genuinly happy person, even when I am in the worst mood and just want to go home Jonah can always make me laugh and have a good time. I cannot wait for the next 3 months AND to be in the same city this summer!!!!

Friends before or not they have quickly becaome poeple I could not imagine my life without and will continue to thank abroad for bringing me closer to for the rest of my life.
