This week was the first week of my new classes. I had a good time getting to know my new professors. The classes have gone well so far, and I learned a lot about contemporary politics and management operations. In the middle of the week, I was able to take a trip to a new beach I hadn’t seen yet called Milk Beach. My friend got a new camera and he wanted to try it out so went for a little photoshoot. He got a lot of great pictures of the beach and the skyline and I asked him to get a few of me and this one came out really good.

On Saturday I spent the morning focusing on some schoolwork and the gym. After I got the work out of the way, I spent the afternoon at Manly Beach. The beach was cool the first time I visited but there was a surf competition going on and I wanted to check it out when the whole beach was open to the public, plus the ferry is a cool experience and we don’t have those back home. On the walk back to the wharf I got a good picture under some palm trees.

Sunday we went for a tour of the Sydney Opera House. The place is beautifully built and has so many stunning features, but the history to it is also very interesting. It was sad to hear about how the original architect, Jorn Utzon, ended up being kicked off of his own job but also nice to hear about how they brought him and his son back on. It was also crazy to hear about how the original budget was around 4 years and 7 million and it ended up taking about a decade and 102 million dollars. After the tour, I went to eat and then to the Museum of Contemporary Arts, which was really a random excursion we made because we were walking past and it was free. It was a really cool part of my weekend and I got some great pictures while I was there.

After the museum, we walked through the Botany Garden. There were a lot of different plants and pieces of cool architecture, which made the walk a great experience. I even got to see this wild Laughing Kookaburra at a really close distance.
