Sydney Food

For my last blog on the Australia side of the trip I’m going to talk abobut a topic that I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR…. My ranking of my top five favorite food spots. Starting off at number one and I think for me personally this has to be first simply because of the sheer number of times I got it. FIshbowl!!!!!! At home my favorite places to go are build your own chipotle, cava, sweetgreen, even a supermarkets hotbar I just like to pick exactly what goes into my plate. And fishbowl is absolutly no exception and It may beat out the other three for my favorite place ever. After getting it everysingle day for the first two weeks I finally perfected my order: Sushi rice and mixed leaves base- add on carrots, beets, edamame, spicy broccoli, cabbage, and nori- Miso blazed salmon- house shoyu ON THE SIDE (this is a crucial step to make sure there is the perfect amount of dressing)- lastly add japanese chili flakes and chilli jam. Some may call it an obsession I call it passion. On my final day in Sydney I have my favorite bowl one last time….. until I work in the city next summer since I hear they opened theyre first us store in New York.

Number two on my list is the Recovery smoothie from Cali press. I was never a big smoothie person before coming to Australia and although there is not much elaboration I can give on this item I will say it is phenomenal. And my biggest regret is not switching to this smoothie from the chocolate haze smoothie sooner since I only got to have it 4 times. I am glad that I was able to make Alexa a smoothie girl with me and go with her on our last day.

Third on the list is a tik tok reccomended spot Blackwood in Bondi. This place makes third for a couple of reasons. Their AMAZING coffee, the fact that going back to the premise of number one I could build my own snack plate, and last but not least everyone else loved it just as much as i did meaning that we could make it a whole expereince of walking there fromm our hotel, grabbing food, and going to the beah. My perfect snack plate was sourdough, riccotta cheese, chipotle chicken and the crispy kale.

Fourth on my list is again somthing I heard about on tik tok. A place called Arms Length that has a rotating $19 pasta and wine deal. The pasta changes out every month over our time in sydney we got to try different ones and my favorite was the ravioli with a sausage and mushroom cream sauce. Another reason this makes it so high on my list was that going every tuesday became a weekly tradition for Lauren, Sienna, and I, sometimes bringing along other people. Knowing we had a fun meal to look foward to tuesday nights always made classes go by exponentially faster.

Last but not least number five Yo-Chi. Although I never got this dow to a perfect science since it depended on the dya what base flavor i would choose. Although i always prefer a meal to dessert Yo-Chi had to make its place in the top five since it was the perfect beach day snack or sweet treat at the end of the night. I will say that out of all the combination my most frequent one was vanilla with strawberries, caramel banana, granola, nutella, and warm cookie pieces.

I am so so excited to see what singapore has to offer and make yet another top five list there!!!!
