The beginning of the week started off slow. Monday I had to finish a huge data project for work that started mid day on Friday. The rest of the week was filled with revising comments and doing more market research about trading apps. The real fun started on Friday.
First, I see the hype behind people getting excited for Friday after work. After a stressful week all I can think about is relaxing. To add onto that it was a long weekend with Monday off. Friday we crossed off an item on the bucket list and headed down to Marina Bay Sands for a dinner. This place did not disappoint. The food was all award winning street food places and tasted great. I may have gotten scammed with tourist prices but it was worth it. After that we headed to the roof to check out the view and it was amazing. You can over look the entire financial and business district and it’s a great skyline at night.
Then Saturday we went to universal at Sentosa Island. This was so worth going we went on all the rides saw some movies, got “turned” into minions, and saw fireworks. We stayed all day and my inner child was extremely satisfied. I knew it was time to leave when all the food shops closed and I had to eat a starbucks chicken pie. The real highlight of the day was Then Sunday we headed down to Malay town and saw the mosque at night. It was really cool to see the culture and we also grabbed a really good Lebanese dinner, which was a bunch of meat and rice. The rest of the night was spent exploring the area at night, which was sick because there were little ally ways everywhere that were all so active.
Monday, on my day off, I spent sleeping in. It was much needed as I can never get enough sleep. After getting up for the day I decided to go for a long run. Maybe not the best idea as it was 89 degrees and humid. I went 5.5 miles at 12 minute pace circling around the botanic garden. I saw some really cool places. There were nice cars, high rises, and shops. I think it is a more affluent area. The highlight of the run was seeing a baby blue Porsche 911 and also finishing. Great way to start the week and many more miles to come.
