2 Week hiatus recap with Steve and A reunion with the Trevisani’s

First I would like to apologies for all my readers that I missed last weeks update.

To recap last week, work was so dull. I was doing some meaningless research and finished it early. I practically have to beg for more work because I am bored and have nothing to do. The highlight of the days are that my co-workers take me to get some really good food every time. Im telling you the waffles here are to die for.

The real highlight last week was the weekend. Friday was a nice reunion dinner with Mrs. Trevisani and ol’ Lukey boy. We went to this place called chop Sui in Dempsey. This place was really cool. I saw a formula 1 car museum of Ferraris. Also there were multiple art museum that I walked around in. It was nice to get out of the city for a bit and slow down. The dinner was great! The next day all my roommates were out. I was all alone in my 20th floor pad in the middle of Orchard. So I went to a cooking class on the east coast to make a local dish called laksa. I didn’t know I was a chef like that because I cooked up the meanest bowl. After I walked down the east coast to look around. Good and bad idea because it was blazing hot but nice to see a different part of town.

This week work was the same ol’ same ol’. The most memorable part was when we were getting feedback about the trading app from trading reps using it to test it out and they just ripped it apart. They all said it was unusable and they liked the old app better. I’ve come to learn that the older generation in Singapore is a bit unhinged. They do not care about saying things the right way tone wise or coming across a certain way. They say anything they want. A lot different from Australia where everyone is cheerful and upbeat. It doesn’t really make sense about the difference in attitude because the weather is pretty similar, so it’s defiantly not climate that determines this aspect of the culture.

Fast forward to the weekend. I probably had the best weekend I’ve had. A couple weeks ago I bought tickets to see Dimitri Vegas and Steve Aoki back to back days at Marquee at Marina Bay Sands. Dimitri was absolutely great. Heavy base, crazy beat drop, mix of old and new songs. Then I go back the next day. Completely different vibe. The place is packed and I can’t make it to the main floor because this one security guard is doing way too much and is screaming at me that they are at capacity. I use my big brain and go to the other side and completely change the tactic to getting on the floor. I thought to myself what would get their attention. So I started to speak French and holy did it work. I knew they understood English, but French is completely different. They let me on the main floor in minutes and I enjoy the rest of the night to Steve Aoki photoshopping himself on Rose in the Titanic. The night was great and the weekend is forever memorable
