Another week has passed in Singapore, and not much has changed. I have been working on creating dashboards for the CFO and CEO for financial analysis. I have been onboarding all the data onto the new platform, Datarails, and am now creating tools for economic analysis. It is interesting because this is precisely what I learned in my Accounting Analytics and Data Visualization classes. I have been doing a lot of data mapping and validation to accounting analytics. Now, I am creating many visual tools like bar charts, line charts, etc., which apply to my Data Visualization course. This is a testament to the education we receive at Bucknell; it has allowed me to succeed in my role and be very prepared. I enjoy applying my educational knowledge in real-world scenarios and look forward to doing more.
I wanted to update you about the Singapore transit system. I have gotten acclimated to it, and I am very well-versed now. Like in New York, people on the transit system are constantly rushing and trying to get to the front of the lines. This plays into Singapore’s culture of work work work. I’ve found the exact spots on the train to enter/exit to maximize my efficiency.

I have continued my journey of cooking from Sydney, although the kitchen is much less pleasant this time, and the ingredients are much more expensive. Something I have been experimenting with has been sweet potatoes. I’ve been putting chicken or ground beef over it, and it has been excellent. I look forward to cooking new things.

Some things I made
Some friends and I went to Universal Studios on Sentosa Island this Saturday. It was super fun and less crowded than we thought. Obviously, it isn’t as good as the one in Orlando, but it was still pretty cool. The minion ride was pretty immersive and incredible, and I even got a minion plushie.
