This week at work on some of the projects from previous weeks. Then we worked on collecting some new contacts for tenders, and worked on contracts for clients. We also continued working on paperwork for some ongoing projects.
On Tuesday, Stella and I treated ourselves to a special lunch. We went to an Italian place near our work and got a mushroom and sausage pizza. It was good, but I will say nothing compares to Pizza in America. It is definitely one of things I am looking forward to when returning.
Friday night a few of us went out for Korean BBQ. Stella ordered and cooked for us all. We got banchan, which is a variety of Korean side dishes and then we got pork belly and thin sliced marinated beef. We ate this with rice and lettuce.
During the weekend we made it our goal to go out and do all the touristy Singapore things. We started off Saturday at the gym and then we headed off to the Singapore Botanical Gardens. It was beautiful walking though and seeing the variety of different plant life. But it was incredibly hot, so we took a grab car over to the Merlion statue. We took our picture in front if the famous statue. The lion spits out water which represents money and power so I took the obligatory photo of me catching the water in my mouth. Then we went and got our nails done at a local salon. I got a manicure and pedicure. It always continues to amaze me how inexpensive getting your nails done is in Asia. We finished off the night at a French restaurant and then got dessert at an ice cream shop nearby. I got Ferrero Roche flavored ice cream in a homemade waffle cone and it was delicious.
Sunday it was storming pretty bad so we just had a reset day and relaxed and watched movies. It was a restful way to help prepare for the coming week.
