A Weekend in Bali and my Final Abroad Blog.

This last week I was able to see my parents for the first time in over 3 months. This visit was a much needed treat which made me miss home just a little less to be able to finish off this trip strong. As I mentioned in my last blog, me and my parents spent the weekend walking the F1 track and exploring Singapore. This weekend, my parents and I enjoyed a relaxing and amazing trip to Bali, with a notable trip to the island of Nusa Penida. The first day of our trip we took relaxing rest day which […]

Light Shows and the Singapore F1 Track

This weekend, I was fortunate to be able to spend time with my parents. On Saturday at 6am, both of my parents landed in Singapore from West Palm Beach, Florida. I set my alarm early and prepared for a busy day exploring the city with them. We first walked around raffles place and then decided to walk towards the Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel and the F1 grid. Not only was this a good opportunity to explore parts of the city I hadn’t already, but it was also a great time to show my parents the city I have been working […]

Week 12 Singapore

A Week in Singapore: Diving into Fintech, Policy, and Global Trade This past week has been fascinating as I have been working on financial research, policy analysis, and international business strategy. As I learn more about the financial sector and regulatory policy, I become more interested and more prepared for my internship at the Federal Reserve this summer. Here’s a glimpse into what I’ve been working on in Singapore. Global Fintech Research Project I kicked off the week by diving into a massive fintech market study. I analyzed over 300 companies across various continents, focusing on valuation strategies and expansion […]

Week 11: Marina Bay Sands, Sentosa, and a Client Meeting.

Today marks the end of my second week in Singapore. I can finally say that I have fallen into a nice routine. Going to work, eating at hawker centers, and going to a gym within a super mall all seem like regular parts of my day. Although I am falling into a rhythm, this week was still special because of the interesting and fun activities me and my friends decided to do. Before I talk about the things I did after work, I will first talk about the interesting things I did at work. Lately, I’ve been diving into market […]

Exploring Fintech and Flavors: My First Weeks in Singapore

My first week in Singapore has been nothing short of exciting, both professionally and culturally. I’m currently interning at OrionW, a law firm based in the heart of the city, and the experience has already exceeded my expectations. I kicked off my internship with a project conducting market research on the largest fintech firms in Singapore and the United States. This assignment was especially interesting for me because it has improved my knowledge of the financial technology sector, both in the United States and Singapore. By mapping out the fintech landscape in both countries, I’ve started building a strong foundation […]

Week 9-Cairns and Singapore

A Week of Adventure: From Australia to Singapore This past week has been an unforgettable adventure filled with breathtaking landscapes, thrilling encounters, and cultural discoveries. Our journey for this blog started at the back half of our final week in Australia, where we wrapped up our stay with an incredible visit to Fitzroy Island. The island’s beauty was unparalleled, and a hike led us to a picturesque lighthouse and the stunning Nudey Beach, ranked as the #1 beach in Australia. The crystal-clear waters revealed an abundance of marine life—we were lucky enough to spot three sea turtles, multiple sharks, and […]
