Week 3 in Sydney – John Rodgers

It’s already been three weeks, and time has flown by. I am almost done with my first block of classes, so I am one week away from the halfway mark of my time in Sydney. I have continued my journey to try to get a tan. I’m Irish, so it’s been strict even with the 13 UV; I haven’t burned, which is good, but I will need to lower the SPF to get some color. Sydney week 2 – John Rodgers

Another week settling into Sydney, and it was a great one. I started the week by meeting with Tony Massaro, a Bucknell Alum in Sydney. His journey inspired me and how he ultimately ended up in Sydney. After that meeting, many of us went to the Sydney Harbor bar near the Sydney Opera House. Seeing the Bridge and Opera House while sipping on a Hugo Spritz was an unbelievable sight. Week 1 in Sydney- John Rodgers

It feels good to be in a new country for a while. Australia has been very welcoming to me so far. After that long trip here, I have finally stepped foot on Australian soil, and it feels great. The weather is perfect, and I get to skip the cold conditions of New York, which is a plus. My housing situation is better than expected; I live in Bondi Junction, near a massive mall, so shopping is very convenient.
