Week 13 in Asia Pacific

This week moved at a slightly slower pace. The focus shifted more toward work and less on adventure, though there were still some highlights.

Monday through Friday felt like one long loop: eat, sleep, work, repeat. Most of my time was spent completing the tasks assigned at my internship. Since I’m working at a real estate company, my responsibilities have mainly involved market research, data entry, and assisting with client interactions.

One long-term benefit I’ll take away from this trip is learning how to cook for myself. Before this trip, my cooking skills were limited to making sandwiches and eggs. Now, I can prepare a few proper meals without poisoning myself, which is definitely progress and a good sign for the future.

As for adventure, I’m glad there was at least a bit. I can’t imagine being abroad without doing anything outside of work or school. It’s part of what makes the experience so special. On Saturday, a few friends and I went to Universal Studios on Sentosa Island. We spent the day exploring the park, which, like everything else in Singapore, is well-designed and top-notch. We enjoyed the themed areas like Hollywood, Jurassic Park, Minions, and Transformers. While the attractions were fun, I found the rides a bit too tame for my liking. Overall, I’d say Singapore’s Universal Studios is worth visiting, though it’s a notch below the ones in Florida and California in terms of size and thrill.

In all, even though this week wasn’t packed with adventures like previous ones, I still had a great time. I’m looking forward to whatever comes next.
