This past week, we spent the week in Singapore for the first time since we arrived. My assignments and tasks at work ramped up, and I definitely received more impactful and important work than I had in the previous two weeks. The hours may be long, but I feel like I am starting to learn much more from the team at Qapita, and I am starting to make more of an impact in the office. Additionally, I had some very good lunches at work this week, I went to several cafes and other hawker centers around the city that offered a wide variety of food that I had never tried before. Most notably, I had a curry dish with a friend, and it was very good and delicious. I will hopefully make it back to this cafe another day during the next few weeks.
During the weekend, we went around exploring the island. We stopped by Universal Studios to see the new minion exhibit and the rest of the park, and then walked around Sentosa for a little after. At night, we went to a comedy show at a local restaurant. It showcased twelve different comics from various places around the world, and they were all very funny. The restaurant was very cool, and the food was very good as well. We then spent Sunday walking around the Ion Orchard mall that is located right next to our apartment building. This mall is huge, and has just about every store and restaurant you could ever imagine. The food court on the bottom floor is incredible, I had this noodle dish that was one of the best I had ever tried.
Looking forward to next week, I am hoping to explore more of Singapore, and learn more from my team in the office. I am excited for another action-packed and fun week in the city.
