From Japan to Final Thoughts: My Seventh Week in the Little Red Dot (BONUS!)

Konnichiwa (Hi)! I’m back from Japan and finally ready to share the overdue rundown of the trip. This will likely be my final blog, which is wild to say. It’s my last week here, and with packing and cramming in final activities, it’s time to reflect. So, without further ado: Japan. Japan: Travel and ArrivalMe, Ariana, Maddie, Stella, and Owen all headed out to Japan on Wednesday after work for a five-day trip. Unfortunately, the four of us girls didn’t book a direct flight and had a five-hour layover in Kuala Lumpur. That layover felt like a fever dream—we did […]

From Work Trip to Sentosa Island: My Sixth Week in the Little Red Dot—(BONUS!)

Hello! What a whirlwind of a week. I can feel time racing by, and honestly, it feels like it’s going to win. It was another great week, with surprisingly less rain than usual. Work Trip to Batam: I love my job I went back to Indonesia on Tuesday! This was my third visit — first Bali, then Bintan, and now Batam. Each island is unique, and where I’d recommend really depends on what you’re looking for. GFC took all the interns — me, Autumn, Eamon, and Owen — to Batam for a golf day with a client. An American client! […]

From Tennis Singapore Style to Marina Bay Sands to Living the Good Life to Spa Alexa: My Fifth Week in the Little Red Dot

Hello! This week was jam-packed with activities—especially the weekend, which included an incredible Easter getaway to Bintan Island. Tennis, Singapore Style On Monday, Autumn asked if I wanted to play tennis after work, and since Stella still has me on the morning workout routine, I had the flexibility to be spontaneous. Now, the last time I played tennis seriously, Dora was still on my racket—let’s just say it’s been a while since summer tennis camps. But I’m choosing to believe that all the pickleball I played last summer is serving me well (no pun intended). We played for about an […]

From After Work Adventures to Sunday Funday: My Fourth Week in the Little Red Dot

Hello! We’re halfway through Singapore—can you believe it? I find myself constantly thinking the days are crawling, but the weeks are flying by. So while 26 days doesn’t sound like that many, there are still so many things we have planned to finish. After Work Adventures The Witch’s BrewTuesday night after work, Lauren and her parents were gracious enough to invite us all to happy hour. A no-brainer—so me, Maddie, and Stella accepted the invite. The Witch’s Brew was exactly what you’d expect—imagine magic-themed drinks with smoke pouring out of them and food that lights on fire before you eat […]

From Trials and Errors to Gardens by the Bay: My Third Week in the Little Red Dot

Trials and Errors My third week of internship was very busy. I finished my first campaign! Now that it’s done, it’s a big sigh of relief. I must admit that my big trial and error was British English, which is very different from American English. Words I never imagined could have an “s” instead of a “z” do. I had to really pay attention to detail to adjust to the requirements needed to market to a Singaporean target audience. It took me back to International Marketing, which I took back in Sydney. One of the most frequent themes (Sienna and […]
