From Working Week 2 to Immersed in Bali: My Second Week in the Little Red Dot

Working Week 2 This week, I kept trekking along on my big campaign, and my Canva skills have seriously improved. One of my favorite parts of my workday is our daily intern lunch at the Hawker Center. Owen, Eamon, Autumn, and I all walk over together, and it’s a great time to chat and enjoy some really good food with very kind people—there is never a dull moment with the three of them. Immersed in Bali For the long weekend because of Eid al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan, Ariana, Lauren, and I went to Bali. What a blast that was […]

From Routine Changes to Working Abroad to PILATES IS BACK: My First Week in the Little Red Dot

For those of you who may not know, I am now in the second portion of the Asia-Pacific program, which is in Singapore! It’s nicknamed the “little red dot” because, on the map, it’s so small that it’s often depicted by a “little red dot.” My life down under has come to a close, and I’ve now jumped over to the little red dot, which honestly doesn’t feel that little to me. Routine Changes I’m really good at sticking to a routine—whether it be workouts, class schedules, you name it. Once I adjust, I thrive in that environment. Naturally, when […]

From Spring Break to See You Soons: My Ninth (and Final) Week Down Under

Hello! Spring Break 2025 is officially in the books. It was a very special week with fun-filled adventures and my boyfriend, Danny, making the trek all the way out! Spring Break in Cairns Recalling back now, it feels like I was in Cairns a lifetime ago. From Sydney, it was approximately a three-hour flight, which, after doing the six-hour to fifteen-hour flight from New Jersey to Sydney, felt like a piece of cake. Getting off the plane Saturday afternoon, it felt like I was transported somewhere far from the Australia I had come to know—I miss Sydney very much. Cairns […]

From Tourist Attractions to Final Sydney Thoughts: My Eighth Week Down Under

My last entry talking about Sydney! I can’t believe it! The life Down Under is a good one. Opera House and Botanical Gardens Our final Monday in Sydney, I needed a final tourist moment. Although I had been to the Opera House multiple times, I had failed to take pictures in front of it. Stella and Maddie were good sports and took the adventure with me. It was nice to capture some photos, no matter how touristy I felt, because they’re not only something for me to look back on, but I also know the photos will make my mom […]

From Roomie Bonding to Bruce and Jane: My Seventh Week Down Under

Week 7 is now in the books! To no surprise, this one also flew by. It is hard to believe that I’m headed into my final week in Sydney, but I’m eager for the adventures still to come. Roomie BondingLiving in suite 1403 has its perks, especially on Mondays when none of us have class. With our schedules aligning, it becomes an extra opportunity to spend quality time together. This past Monday, the group set out on the coastal walk from Coogee to Bondi, with brunch waiting for us at the finish line. A crucial mistake was made on my […]

From Wine to More Wine: My Sixth Week Down Under

General Updates Well, time certainly moves quickly here in Sydney. I’m not sure if it’s not having class on Mondays or what, but this second block of classes is zooming right by. On Tuesday, Sienna and I ventured out to find ramen after our first class, which was a journey. Sadly, Japan Town was closed (it seems they have a town for everything here, and I love it), so we had to resort to Plan B. The ramen wasn’t quite like the Top Ramen I’m familiar with at home, but it hit the spot. The food tasted extra yummy, especially […]
