Bali

This past weekend Lauren, Alexa, and I went to BALI. We decided to go to Ubud since we wanted to see more of the cultural aspects and we were going on the hindu new year which is celebrated as a day of silence with parades in Ubud.  We arrived in Bali on Friday when the parades were taking place. Week 11 in Asia Pacific

This week, like every other so far, provided great content to write about, making my writing both easy and enjoyable. I’m confident that my writing skills will significantly improve by the end of this semester. The weekdays felt a bit monotonous, with the usual work routine, which reminded me of the kind of life I’ll lead after I graduate. However, that’s one of the many benefits of this program, beyond the invaluable educational and travel experiences, we also gain real-world work experience, especially by working abroad in different environments that push us to mature and adapt more quickly. Graney- Week 2 in New Zealand

Already, I feel as though I am fully in the swing of being an honorary kiwi. Most of my time was predictably used up by my internship, but I made a great amount of progress on my project. I have now converted and optimized all of the blog posts for Tomahawk’s client and will be doing some final revisions on them before they are fully complete. Official start to the job

This week I was alerted that I my workpass had finally gotten approved and that I can start going into the office. I had already spent time going through the onboarding process and getting myself familiar with the invoice processing software so I did not waste too much time. When I went into the office, I immediately began my work and started mty bok keeping. I was assigned with a small project already, where I was tasked with creating an accounts payable report using different excel functions to calculate the age of different debts that other companies owe. Week 1 in Singapore

This first week in Singapore has been quite a journey. My work pass finally went through this Friday, which was a surprise for me since someone else on the trip applied later than me and got it approved within the second week. One of the coolest things, however, is the temple located just outside my office. Its vibrant and I will definetly visit during lunch everyday to get some more steps , and it’s a constant reminder of the rich cultural heritage that surrounds this bustling city.
