From Tennis Singapore Style to Marina Bay Sands to Living the Good Life to Spa Alexa: My Fifth Week in the Little Red Dot

Hello! This week was jam-packed with activities—especially the weekend, which included an incredible Easter getaway to Bintan Island. Tennis, Singapore Style On Monday, Autumn asked if I wanted to play tennis after work, and since Stella still has me on the morning workout routine, I had the flexibility to be spontaneous. Now, the last time I played tennis seriously, Dora was still on my racket—let’s just say it’s been a while since summer tennis camps. But I’m choosing to believe that all the pickleball I played last summer is serving me well (no pun intended). We played for about an […]

Last Blog

For my last blog I wanted to reflect on my time thus far in Singapore. Although I was no where near ready to leave Australia I knew singapore would be so much fun with weekend trips and being in a completely different city. In my time here I got visit Bali with Lauran and Alexa, Malaysia with my office, Bintan, and I am very excited to visit Osaka Japan for our last weekend. Each trip has been so uniqque while some were more focused on relaxing and others had more activities. To come a little full circle from my final […]

Singapore – Week 5

One of my favorite sayings is that time flies when you are having fun. The last 14 weeks have definitely been flying by and it feels bizarre that this is the final blog. It seems like just yesterday I was bouldering across the rocks on Bondi beach, looking out into the long stretch of sand filled with playful energy. Because this is the last blog, I wanted to reflect on my key takeaways from each location. Living in Sydney for 8 weeks was a dream come true. Sydney has everything I look for in a city. Whether it be the […]

Graney- Week 5 in New Zealand

I cannot believe that this is the final week of required blogs for this amazing semester abroad. As I have done after returning home from Dublin last summer, I am certain that I will be revisiting these blogs occasionally to reminisce on all of the memories that I made over these four months. My fifth week in Auckland was somewhat underwhelming by the standards of every other week I have spent abroad, but I feel that this is a major testament to how well I optimized my free weekends during this semester. The workweek was relatively normal as I continued […]

Week 5 in Auckland – Final Blog

This week at my internship was shorter than the rest, but it was a great week. I was assigned to gather files from the company’s loan database to report to PWC. This, along with doing the normal daily tasks that are expected of me. It was a great experience, learning how to use accounting software for basic accounting tasks. I even got to research the New Zealand laws on unclaimed money and create a policy for the company. Throughout my internship, all my coworkers were very nice to me, especially Daniel. Without asking, he gave me a list of different […]

Easter in Auckland

This past weekend I got to spend my weekend in Auckland, this was the first time that I had a full weekend in the city and did not travel to another destination. With most of the country having off Good Friday and Easter Monday as well as the 25th of April off (Anzac Day) which is a celebration of the military veterans who have served in First World War. With those holidays all lining up within a 2 week period, many people have taken off this upcoming week of the 21st as the only days that most people will be […]
